"The premier asked me to study the case before he left for (the World Economic Forum in) Switzerland, and that if I have enough evidence, I have the right to file a lawsuit against Sam Rainsy for $1 million for public defamation," Tech said. Sovantha, meanwhile, also took moves to sue Rainsy on Tuesday, demanding $250,000 over the same incident, which allegedly took place as Rainsy met with CNRP activists in France. Rainsy, who has been in self-imposed exile abroad for over a year, faces a series of lawsuits and possibly arrest if he returns to Cambodia.
